Comedy at the Club!

We are delighted to welcome back Jeff Lane to compere, and programme, an evening of great comedy from top comedians.

Our headline act for the night is Sol Bernstein – comedian, magician, raconteur, and probably the best octogenarian going!

Sol Bernstein

The opening act for the evening is Joe Wells. Joe’s writing career began when his first book ‘Touch and Go Joe’ about his experiences of OCD was published, since then he has made a name for himself as a stand up comic, writer and speaker. Joe now focuses mainly on his unique brand of political comedy.

“A star of the future… some of the most surprising and thought-provoking material coming from any comedian in his early 20s” The Guardian

“Highly original, inspired and suitably different from the rest of the crowd… brilliantly crafted jokes” Comedy Central

In the middle we have local rising stars Hetty Austin and Duncan Adam.

Hetty is fast becoming a favourite on the Portsmouth comedy scene. Whatever life throws at her, she always managed to see the funny side. With a promising future, she channels the endearing qualities of Sarah Millican and the late, great Victoria Wood.

“Hetty has a warm and quirky style, with really enjoyable and relatable material.” Quackers Comedy

Duncan Adam is a Scottish stand up who has been performing in England for three years. He recently made it to the South Coast Comedian of the year 2019 semi-finals with his unique take on observational comedy.

“Duncan grips the room with his anecdotal stories and killer delivery which will leave the audience howling and screaming for more” – PM Promotions
